About Olivet Seminary

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Olivet Seminary is an independent network of Bible schools created through the collaboration between and the World Olivet Assembly and Olivet Theological College & Seminary. It exists for the advancement of Christian missions through raising next generations of Christian leaders who have solid Biblical and Theological foundations to effectively advance the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.

Olivet refers to the Mount of Olives, a historic site in the ministry of Jesus named for the olive trees that covered its slopes. The emblems of Olivet – the olive tree and the oil from its fruit – represent the world of peace and eternity proclaimed by Jesus Christ.

The hope for that world is the passion of Olivet Seminary. Our purpose is to raise Christian leaders through a comprehensive program of academic study and spiritual training in faith and theology. The curricular program also balances theoretical and practical learning to encourage the application of scholarship.

Our Vision

It is our vision to see every Christian leader equipped to fulfill the words of Jesus: And he said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.” (Matthew 13:52, ESV)

Our Mission

Olivet Seminary offers free of charge, widely accessible training to current and future ministers around the world, including those under-served by traditional seminaries. Utilizing virtual and in-person networks, it equips Christians with Biblical, theological, and other relevant knowledge and skills for advancing the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Confession of faith

We believe in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

We believe in The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ.

We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
